Michael Weisel

Michael Weisel’s tenure in the garment care industry to date spans more than 30 years. His arrival at ZIPS as Vice President of Operations and Continuous Improvement in July 2024 added yet another seasoned franchising and garment care veteran to our corporate team. Mike came to ZIPS from Tide Cleaners, where he served as both Head of Cleaning Capability and Franchise Business Director, overseeing 80 locations in 12 markets. Before that, he was Senior Manager of Dry Cleaning Operations at Rent The Runway, and earlier in his career founded and operated three separate dry cleaning businesses: Pure Elegance Dry Cleaners, for 24 years; Solar Clean LLC, for seven years; and PressingMatters, for eight years.

At ZIPS, Mike focuses on building relationships with our franchisees and lending his extensive experience to the betterment of our system as a whole, with the goals of driving growth, increasing revenue, improving profitability, and maximizing operational excellence.

Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Syracuse University. He and his wife, Hope, live in Stamford, Conn., and have two adult children. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, travel, reading and exercise.
