Kim, a Loyal Customer and Reigning U.S. Junior Amateur Champion, Will Help Boost National Attention of the Brand

SAVAGE, Md. ZIPS Cleaners, a national chain of garment care providers offering low-cost, same-day dry cleaning and related services, announced today that it has become an official sponsor of U.S. Junior Amateur Champion golfer Bryan Kim. Kim hails from Brookeville, Maryland, near ZIPS corporate headquarters in Savage, Md. The partnership will support Kim as he travels to tournaments seeking to defend his title and expand into professional tournaments, including the upcoming U.S. Open. ZIPS sponsorship includes logo placement on his tournament shirts as well as media appearances and a social media collaboration.

Kim, currently in his first year at Duke University in North Carolina, was ranked #2 in the world among junior golfers in 2023 and plans to turn pro upon earning his undergraduate degree in 2027. As Kim seeks to gain national exposure, he has been eager to align with a national brand with local roots, according to his agent, Noah Moss, of GSE Worldwide. Through his relationship with ZIPS as a customer and a fortuitous round of golf with Germantown ZIPS owner Mike Kaplan, the partnership was formed.

“This is a great opportunity for Bryan to carry the support of his hometown community with him as he competes on the world stage,” said Moss. “Bryan will be brandishing the ZIPS logo on his shirt at the U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur, Western Amateur, North South Amateur and other internationally acclaimed tournaments. The ZIPS sponsorship is integral to his ability to participate in these events, as amateurs are ineligible to earn prize money.”

“ZIPS is proud to support Bryan and his career through our sponsorship,” said Mary Ann Donaghy, Chief Marketing & Customer Experience Officer at ZIPS. “We know a good many of our customers across the country are fans of all sports, including golf. And, being headquartered in the Baltimore-Washington area, it’s a unique honor to sponsor such an incredible local sports talent who represents the next generation of golfers. We wish him a successful season and look forward to an exciting year working together.”

The ZIPS team looks forward to seeing Kim at the upcoming U.S. Open Championship, June 13-16 at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club (Course No. 2) in the Village of Pinehurst, N.C. and many more tournaments in the year ahead.
