Bob Barry, CEO of ZIPS Dry Cleaners
Bob Barry was appointed President/CEO of ZIPS Franchising LLC in mid-2021, after having spent eight years on the ZIPS Board of Directors. He previously held the same position for 12 years at The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille and while there, oversaw the casual dining brand’s expansion into several new states, growth to nearly 50 franchised and company-owned locations, and incorporation of multiple operational and menu changes to drive greater efficiency and profitability.
Building on his degree in hospitality administration/management from Florida International University, Bob spent nine years as President/CEO of Ms. Desserts/The Great Cookie and held leadership roles at both Marriott Corp. and W.R. Grace & Co. He also served on the boards of the American Heart Association and the Restaurant Association of Maryland. In addition to his hands-on work with executive roles at these companies, he has been an investor in and advisor for a diverse portfolio of companies, ranging from a consulting firm to a distillery to a rehab facility and others.
Bob believes strongly in empowering others to develop and deploy their full potential. To that end, he works closely with each corporate team member to set ambitious goals and help ensure they’re achieved.
When not negotiating deals and pursuing business growth, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, motorcycling and playing golf.
